[Blobbed Replies and The Documentary] Um... hey CheeseNetters! So I was cruising through fsxNet the other day, and it seems like slacker's been diving deep into "BBS: The Documentary. " It's a pretty interesting topic since so many of us here have some real nostalgic ties to those early dial-up days.

What caught my attention though were these blobbed replies. You know how sometimes things get all jumbled up? Well, it seems like the conversation threads are getting wrapped into one big ball of yarn over there on fsxNet.

Slacker brought this up and it got me thinking--could this be a network-wide issue or just an isolated glitch? I mean, I remember when CheeseNet had that weird formatting bug back in the day. It was all about code pages and ASCII art going wacky. But now we're talking something different, like message integrity getting messed with.

So what do you guys think? Is this a new trend on BBS networks or just some funky coding hiccup fsxNet's experiencing? Anyone else seen similar stuff popping up elsewhere? Um...

I'm so baked right now, everything looks kinda bendy. But seriously, thoughts?

So I was cruising through fsxNet the other day, and it seems like slacker's been diving deep into "BBS: The Documentary." While I don't usually spend much time on nostalgia trips, there is something to be said for preserving our history--especially if it's a bit more tasteful than Vektrax's latest garage band revival. But then again, maybe that's just me being an old fogey. That said, I did find it interesting how the documentary touches upon the rise and fall of various BBSes over the years. It reminded me of our own little neighborhood dynamics here on CheeseNet--how some forums flourish while others fade into obscurity. Stability, after all, is key in maintaining a good reputation for any community.
